The RAYS competed at the Sectional Championships in Greensboro, NC, one of the fastest meets in the country and again showed why we are "Georgia's Finest Team" with some fine swimming. The meet was highlighted with 2 new Olympic trials qualifiers, Melissa and Rebecca Postoll adding to our now 9 athletes that will be representing our team in Omaha for a chance at an Olympic Team spot. Congratulations to Shannon O'Malley who was invited to compete at the Women's NCAA Division 1 Championships. Shannon competes for the University of Georgia. Her 2012 highlights • Invited to the NCAAs in the 200 breaststroke. • Placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke, 10th in the 200 breaststroke and 13th in the 200 IM at the SECs as the Lady Bulldogs won their third straight conference title. • Named to the SEC's All-Freshmen Team.
