GA Zone Team Applications Open Applications are now open for the 11-12, 13-14 and Disability groups for the Georgia Team that will compete at the Southern Zone Champs in Greenville SC July 30 - Aug 5. Our very own Coach Kim has been selected by ASACA (American Swim Coaches Association) as one of their 2013 Fellows. From ASCA: The Fellows is a mentorship program aimed at developing future (off deck) coach-leaders of our sport. The program is centered on the completion of a project done in the year between World Clinics, with the projects designed to advance the swimming body of knowledge. The Stingrays had another GREAT Long Course Meet this weekend at the Betsy Dunbar Invitational (results below). The meet took place at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Pool on the campus of Georgia Tech. Such an opportunity to swim in one of our country's best pools is a local luxury to us swim teams in Atlanta, and our Stingrays swimmers rose to that opportunity to make the most of it! Hello RAYS! Our 12 and under swimmers had a GREAT meet this weekend at Dynamo Swim Club's Spring Splash Meet (Results are below!). Despite some grey weather, we were able to have both sessions of the meet. Some of our young swimmers swam in the 50 meter Long Course pool for the first time at this meet, and they did AMAZING! This is expecially true considering our warm ups at the meet did not allow us to swim in that Meter pool to "test it out" before the races. A...
Due to Cherokee County changing to the summer schedule on Monday, we will have to move practices for Mon, Tue & Wed. I am sorry that this has happened, but was beyond our control.
