The Stingrays had another great weekend of FAST Swimming at the Mountain View Aqautic Center at the RAYS hosted IMX Invite. There were over 40 new state cuts achieved at the meet. During this time of the season, the coaches are not only wanting the swimmers to swim fast but also getting the small things better as the season progresses. Senior Elizabeth Murray has verbally committed to UNC Asheville, making our 4th Student Athlete to decide where they will study and compete during the next four years. This Saturday was our RAYS 10 and under Spooktacular Meet, and it was simply spooky how AWESOME everyone did! WAY TO GO, RAYS! As this was one of our first Rookie meets to be opened up to other local teams, we were joined on Saturday by Dynamo Swim Club, The Zaban Sharks, and The Metro Atlanta Aquatic Club. If you DO NOT want to order a GA All Star towel you MUST contact your coach by October 30th to stop being billed the $35-40 to your account. Stingrays Soar at the SCAT Meet In 1996 the USA came to Atlanta and dominated swimming at the GA Tech pool. This fall Stingrays came in and did the same at the SCAT meet. RAYS headed North into Voluteer territory for our annual trip to Nashville. The meet was big this year...around 1000 swimmers...but, not too big to be brought down to size by 48 Stingray swimmers, 4 coaches, 3 chaperones and 1 trip manager. Thank you to Craig Justus for planning this trip and doing the legwork to ensure the kids were well-fed, well-slept and well-traveled.
