Zone Championships GA 2nd Place
The Georgia Team Finishes 2nd
Congratulations to all GA Swimmers and Coaches for a great Southern Zone Championships. The RAYS four swimmers all contributed to the success. Congratulations to Taylor Weiss, Scott Berry, Nathan Burwick & Jimmy Yoder.
Saturday: Jimmy Yoder won his 4th Title of the meet in the 200 Fly with a winning time of 2:07. Taylor weiss had her 2nd first place finish in the 200 Fly with a winning time of 2:20. Scott Berry along with Jimmy swam on the 200 Fr Relay which placed 2nd.
Friday: Jimmy Yoder set another GA record in the 400 Fr with a 2nd place finish time of 4:02.4
Scott Berry had an excellent 100 Bk and was 5th in a time of 1:03. His RAYS & GA teammate Nathan Burwick finished 10th with a best time of 1:04.
Taylor Weiss, Jimmy & Scott were also victorious as members of their winning 200 Medley Relay's
Thursday: Jimmy Yoder finished 2nd in the 100 Fr with a 53.9.
Taylor Weiss finished 8th in the 400IM and Scott Berry was 10th in the 200Bk
Wednesday: Representing GA at the Southern Zone Championships Taylor Weiss & her teammate Jimmy Yoder both won events last night at finals.
Taylor won the 100 Fly with Jnr & SC Nationals time of 1:02.9
Jimmy kept his winning streak alive with two victories in the 200 Fr (GA & Zone records) in a Jnr National time of 1:54.8 & the 100 Fly 58.4.
Tuesday: Jimmy Yoder representing GA at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championships won the 1500 Fr setting a new Zone & GA record.
Jimmy's time of 16:08 also qualifies him for junior nationals and short course nationals.
